    I have come to the conclusion that the fewer chemicals you add to your tank, the better off you are.

    I just read "Aquarium Corals" by Borneman In a 3 days.....WOW.....His whole philosophy is less is better and it made so much sense to me and took much of the anxiety of husbandry away. I recommend it.

    same philosphy here. the more you mess the more messed up it will get. This hobbie is truly more enjoyment then work. Just educate yourself so that when something happens you can take that one small action to make it all work out. small changes are the best.

    I hardly mess with my tank except for feedings and the occasional glass cleanings, top offs and turkey basting poo..... I fear that if I mess with it I'll break it since it's been doing it's own thing just great without my meddeling!

    when i first started and didn't know much i dosed EVERYTHING..needless to say my tank crashed..now i just do a daily 2-part and calcium if it gets low
