I feel a need for this thread to be made as a reminder to all and hope it is taken to heart.

Things said in anger, frustration, ignorance or for any other reason, once said cannot be taken back. Recently, I have learned that I have offended an individual by some things that I have said in jest, that were not all true, and to people who may or may not form an opinion of this individual without knowing them. While apologizing for the things that I said cannot erase them... I can apologize for speaking to quickly and out of my own ignorance in some instances. I have a lot to learn and should not speak of or about others when I do not know what I am talking about. Nobody is perfect and I will readily admit that I am near the top of the imperfect list.

Since this is a place of learning, I thought it appropriate to share a lesson I have learned. While I think it's important to express oneself, as is our right, time should be taken to think about what it is you are saying and how it affects others. Once it's out there, it's out there... and especially since this is a public forum... for everyone to see. What you say may be meant one way, but text can be misleading and offensive if not everyone knows your situation or what preludes it. People can be hurt and bridges can be burned with just a few words. Loose lips, sink ships.

We've all heard it said that opinions are like a******s, everybody has one... but we don't have to run around naked all the time and some things are just best kept to ourselves....

    Thanks for reading.

Yup. The human race has effectively become like jellyfish. Harsh stings but can't take a decent hit.
