Let him be free or put in jail

Alright here's the story i originally bought 5 chromis, 4 out of 5 were beaten to death by this one last chromis. He is really aggressive for a chromis and has been nipping and tearing the fins of my McCoskers Flasher Wrasse for a few days, even if he remains in his corner and just minding his own business he chromis just goes after him and nips at him

Here's the deal i like my wrasse more than the chromis so i dont want him to stress out the wrasse and keep him confined to one spot as he is trying to swim throughout the tank and i want him to do that, but when he tries he gets nipped at, but the chromis has gotten alittle bit better but he is still nipping at the wrasse a bit

here's the 2nd option: Jail time
My green spotted puffer lives in a 20T FOWLR. This fish is crazyyyyyy aggressive and has lived by himself for 1 1/2 years due to eating other fish that lived with him. I am thinking of putting the chromis in with the puffer knowing the chances of him surviving are slim to none but that would mean my wrasse could swim freely without getting nipped at. I really dont mind that he would more than likely die. But at the same time i am wanting to see if my puffer will be able to live with another animal without eating and killing them.

I am leaning strongly towards option 2 but i want to hear more opinions, i honestly think my wrasse has a greater value than the chromis and i am willing to sacrafice the chromis so that my wrasse can live in peace.

What would you do in this situation

 

Take the Chromis back, or feed it to the puffer I mean give it a friend .

 

I am all for Keeping the Wrass being a big Wrass fan. The Chromis must deal with the results of his intolerable behavior. Lock up the Chromis and save the Whale......I mean Wrass....did I say Whale???? LMAO. Good luck Chic.

 

yea give the puffer a friend... and make sure you videotape them playing

 

feed it ot the puffer but get video. and pics. and before and after pics. then we will be satisfied.8)

 

flasher wrasse fan here , so easy choice . if this was salem 200 yrs ago, id say burn him. lol. but lfs or your puffers next meal, i mean friend.

 

Definitely option 2. Price difference alone is enough of a factor, but i also don't like chromis after having a similar experience as you had with them.

 

Can you take the chromis back to the LFS?

alright sounds like thats what im going to do then i will hopefully be albe to get a video of the puffer eating the chromis
