I just added more rock to my corner piece. I currently have 25-30lbs of rock in the tank. It is a 36gal corner with 2 powerheads at 425gph and 1 aquaclear power filter. I am researching a HOB skimmer to add to the tank. I also just purchased added coralife t5 fixture for lighting as of right now. I'm looking to upgrade later on with kessil a150w.

I set it up last week around this time. I'm going to test the levels over the weekend. I hope for good results. I still need to add a skimmer and a heater. No rush in putting fish in yet.

Yea, take your time. Very nice start so far. Are you going FOWLR or Reef?

My recommendation would be to add a little more rock for the filtration properties. Ideally you want 1-2 lbs per gallon. You're just under the low end of that. Not that you can't have a perfectly successful tank with what you've got, but your bioload capacity will be lower than what the tank would otherwise be able to support.

The room for it is going to be difficult. I could try to add about 5-8 more lbs and i think it would be good. It close to the sides and the front. I will hope to have better pictures up soon.

    Looking good so far. :)

One tip I'd like to share is stay away from the SeaClone skimmer, it's a worthless POS. Eshopps, Reef Octopus and a few others make far better HOB units.
