I figured I'd keep 2 of every kind of tang ;D. Seriously though, quite a few tangs and something that will school. Probably a half dozen clowns as well. Also SPS and a few clams.

I just got off the phone with LFS and hopefully the tank will be here Monday or Tuesday. Still trying to figure out how to post pictures.

Wow!! Very jealous here, congrats on the new tank! Keep us posted with pictures :)
What are you going to be using for a skimmer? Circulation?

Skimmer plan is an AlphaCone 300 by the guys who make BubbleKing, which reminds me that I need to go ahead and order it.
I'm planning power heads in the tank, Tunze's I think, for circulation. I went back and forth trying to decide powerheads vs closed loop and in the end, the simpler plumbing and the ease of changing things around later, nudged me in the poewrhead direction. I don't have any access to the back wall of the tank so CL would have needed to be plumbed through the bottom and that made me a little nervous. I interesting... on the the LFS in Richmond is a huge proponent of CL and the other LFS (who I got my tank from) really recommends the PH route.

I feel bad that I don't have a picture yet of the tank but at least the stand was delivered on schedule. Here is the first picture of its arrival...

I feel lika a little Karma might be in order for finally figuring how to get a picture posted. I'll keep working on actually getting it to appear in this frame instead of as an attachment.

Wow, that's going to be so great! I'll be watching this thread. I like your idea to go with PHs, I've personally read pretty even opinions of the results of PH vs CL, and asthetics for the final look of the tank seemed to be the deciding factor, rather than the actual circulation and flow being the determining factor. Good luck in your adventure!!

This is going to be a great build! I like what I see so far, is that hardwood tile on your floors?

Thanks, the floors are and engineered wood plank... Hickory that is hand planed by prisoners in NC. I needed to use an engineered product because the floors are laid over the concrete slab of the original garage. The good news is that I shouldn't have any trouble with the floor carrying the weight if the tank:hammer:.
