I'm still trying to work out where all the support equipment is going to go. Right now, I think that both the sump/fuge and the skimmer are going to be under the stand. A 200 gal salt water vat, utility sink, and several smaller tanks are going into the closet.

It's built from 2x6's and 2x4's but all the wood was planed down so that is absolutely straight and square :square:. Then the pieces were doubled-up (laminated together). That is why it looks like massive 4x4 and 6x6 columns. I'm told that this doubling-up method is actually stronger than if we'd started with the thicker columns to begin with. Kind of like plywood is stronger than a single board of the same thickness.

You and me both:(. Sorry guys, I wouldn't have started this thread so early if I had any idea that the tank was going to be delayed. The story I get is that the tank manufacturer did load the tank as scheduled 11 days ago but the shipping company :drive:took my tank and 3 other big tanks on the same load to the wrong Richmond :furious3: . If you live in Richmond, IN; Richmond, CA; or Richmond, BC please bee on the lookout for a really lost truck driver . I read on 3reef (or maybe that other forum) that when truckers are driving with an empty trailer they say that they are hauling a load of 'dispatcher brains' because there's no such thing as dispatcher brains.;D
Anyway, I'm totally like a kid that can't wait for Christmas morning :xmas: and I expect that the tank will be here before the end of this week.

Be careful what you wish for... I already have a harness rigged up from the ceiling so that I can send my 9 year old twins down to do maintenance at the bottom of the tank. "hold you breath, that fish didn't even draw blood, get back down there and finish scaping, :bawling:stop crying...those sharks can sense fear" :whip:

Before anyone gets upset and reports me for child labor violations I am, of course, just kidding. There won't be any sharks in the tank.
