I realize that all overflow boxes are inferior to a drilled tank, but I'm kinda stuck.

So what are the best kind? Tubular, or the flat kind (I forget how they are called, 'cause I'm new to this)?

Also, would it hurt to have an overflow box (or boxes) that were capable of much MORE flow than the return pump offered? As a safety precaution?

Please share any info you may have, and THANK YOU.

its always good to have a higher capacity over flow then return from sump.

the most important thing it that the box holds the siphon if the power goes out. which they do buy having a resourvoir in the back that the siphon tube flows into and keeps it water level with the water in the tank.

i would say to be safe you want two seperate ones each capable of draining the tank buy there selves incase one loses siphon some how.

I used one of the tubular ones for about a year with no ill effects. I really don't have experience with the "c" channel
