I was browsing the Aquarium of the Pacific site just to see what exhibits they had and found this:

    Aquarium Education Program

    Dive Immersion

Your chance to dive in an Aquarium exhibit!

For the first-time ever general certified divers are now invited to dive into the Aquarium of the Pacific.
Journey into our warm, 350,000-gallon Tropical Reef Habitat and meet more than 1000 tropical fish up close and personal. In this two and a half hour experience, you get a personal behind-the-scenes tour of our dive program, a dive in our largest exhibit, a certificate of completion, souvenir towel, use of an underwater camera, and a memory card of your photos to take home. You may also bring your own underwater camera. All equipment provided. You may bring your own mask and booties. A minimum of an Open Water certification from a nationally recognized scuba certifying agency and a picture I.D. are required and must be brought with you on your diving day.
Availability: Daily beginning June 1, 2010
    Time: 3:00-5:30 p.m.
    Capacity: 4 participants
Reservations: Must be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling 562-590-3100, ext. 0. Walk ups will be accepted only if the program is already booked that day and space is available. Cancellation fees apply.

You can do the same thing at EPCOT in orlando in their 5 Million gallon tank. It is awesome! Cost is like $150 for a 50 minute dive. I have done it a couple of times, it really is a lot of fun.
