I would suggest going with a better skimmer (larger at least) than the 110. For that size tank, you'd want at least the 200 for "high quality water". If you can, I'd suggest returning the skimmer and buying a larger, more suited to that water volume, skimmer. How large will your sump be? After guesstimating rock displacement and sump equipment displacement, figure up a TWV (total water volume) estimate, and then get a skimmer rated 1.5X the TWV you projected (i.e. if TWC = 100 then get a skimmer rated at least for 150 gallons).

I was thinking the same. Whats the total amount of gallons for this system? Im not sure how many gallons the Sump is, but you generally wanna go bigger on the skimmer, that way you can have piece of mind knowing that your skimmer isnt underrated, which is way worse than overrated. (that topic is widely debated on.) I have a 75 gallon DT system with 100 gallons of water in it and my skimmers rated at 150 gallons.

Other than that this tanks coming along well. I really like the dimensions allows for a lot of stocking options.

Sump came in today so got some plumbing done. A little trial and error, but I think it came out ok. Waiting on the overflow and return plumbing for in the tank to come in next. That and a refill on resin and we'll be putting water in. Sale at the local LFS this weekend so the 60g will be getting pretty full while we wait! Here are the update pictures.

Snook in general several LPS we already have with an additional 10 or so. Fish wise we have a pair of clowns now that will transition over and ideas are still being mulled on additional. Blue tang is a must per the wife and probably 6 or so green chromis, but after that we haven't made much progress on the list.
