Ok..just got my new clam(crocea) this morning from reefempire,it looks good.;D...BUT im having trouble deciding where is a nice looking spot to place it..so I have placed a few full tank pics(dont mind my reflection) to help get an idea....I did do alot of reading on here and do know they like to be on a rock and I believe it was tangster who gave advice on placing it on a shell or kinda curved rock so if it needs to be moved after it foot hooks in it should not be a prob..

I think it will be up to the clam where it goes?

Make sure to give it enough room so if it turns, it won't fall off and tear it's byssal gland. Avoid steep angles too.

Good stuff. Usually clams turn in the most inconvenient viewing positions ;D

well it turns out he must have been unhappy in his spot and turned away from viewing.. then he took a nose dive off the rock down to the bottom.well now I have him placed on a rock down there..doesnt look hurt or anything..guess time will tell if he likes his new spot..I am very intrigued with there movement..very different from fish/corals..:)

If it doesn't attach where it it at move it to the flat rock to the right of where you originally put it. If it does attach try and move the rock up to the top of your scape.

Thanks for the input....before I give that a shot.the rock your talking about has some acans growing nicely on it....will this be an issue if I were to place him there??..or keep should I keep him lower in the tank where he is(I know from reading they need high light.)..if you look at the pics above he`s kinda near the teal/burgandy candy canes...
