    The lake I grew up on, was a no wake lake unless you where 500ft from the banks. Yet we would be 20 feet from the shore and people would zoom past us with their mercury blazing and almost cause a wake big enuff to surf on..

    This used to really upset us as owners of lake-front property ... but seriously, i did not see an issue with your "tide" at all.. Someone needs to have a beer and relax.

    Well at least that Corporal was pretty cool about it. It's tough being in the middle when you have a jerk complainant making a fuss about something you really don't want to issue a cite for. The letter is definitely silly but it's probably the best middle ground action the Cpl can take and still be able to tell the complainant he "did something". If the guy is fanatical enough to run out and take pictures then he's probably going to follow up on what action was taken.. ::)
