    Hey everybody!!!KJNknsdfklnds;ldvlkmfdb

    Good Morning.

I have a little bit of bryopsis in my tank. I am scared to raise mag with kent tech m because I have a ton of coral.

I have heard some positive results from people who get some lettuce nudis to eat their bryopsis. Obviously this would be the best method for me... because you dont have to do anything.. other than buy the nudis, they do the work for you. And there would be no collateral damage (coral).

So my question now is... would these lettuce nudis potential tankmates eat them. I would say the biggest potential culprit would be my melanaurus wrasse. I love this fish.. he eats all of the gross worms that I dont want to see... and he enjoys it he is a bad Azz.

Note:I am not looking for recommendations about any other remedies for bryopsis removal, only what is mentioned here.

Thanks everyone! Have a grrreaaatt day.

and for everyone in cali right now........ its like 0º out here. Someone invite me over.. I'll do a water change for you.. promise;)

    - TL ; DR -

    1. Would my melly wrasse eat a lettuce nudi?

    and

    2. would a lettuce nudi eat my bryopsis

    and

    3. would I be able to plant this lettuce nudi to grow some cabbage out for my salad after he is finished chowin on this beautiful bryopsis

I have raised my Magnesium many times and have never had any problems with my corals. Adding a creature to eat your bryopsis(even if it will actually eat it) is not a good idea IMO. Not sure what size tank this is but once the nudi's algae of choice is gone its a good bet it will starve to death.(And you don't want one of these dieing in your tank trust me.) Not sure of the success rate for feeding these with supplemented foods like algae wafers or nori.
1-Don't think your Melanurus will bother it.
    2-Maybe, maybe not.
3-No salad but a mess if it perishes in your tank.lol

+1 with post above, also you do stand a chance of it getting caught in your powerheads

i think your main problem will be the nudi getting sucked into your overflow box or any powerhead.

So raising my mag above 1500 wont negatively effect my corals?

no but the only type of magnesium that seems to help is the kent brand. Something in there that helps.

As far as the lettuce nudibranchs these were the only thing that save my tank from bryposis was these guys. They munched down on them. I would remove them as soon as your bryopsis is gone as they will starve to death.

On a side note, I lost 1 in a powerhead in a 28g tank and nothing happened to my tank. I run carbon at all times, so maybe?

I would recommend the lettuce nudibranchs!
