Hey guys, so my 50 cube has been going for about a month now, no real cycle aside from diatom bloom because I transferred everything from my 24 cube.

Just checked my levels and they read as follows -

    Ammonia - 0
    Nitrate - 0
    Nitrite - 0
    DKH Alk - 9
    Calcium - 500
    Ph - 8.2
    Salinity - 1.026

Thats all im capable of testing, are these levels what I want to try and keep? They seem good to me but im still a little grey on the chemistry. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

CA is a bit high but nothing that's going to be harmful. You are looking good buddy. BTW, do you have any fish or have you been adding anything to create a cycle?

Calcium should be in the 400 to 450 range and I would suggest getting a magnesium kit if you plan on keeping hard coral.

Are you dosing anything? The CA and Mag are a big concerning if you aren't. Not as much concerning as they are confusing.

Yes, my alk and pH was low so I was using Brightwell Alkaline 8.3, and pH+. I have also been dosing AquaVitro Fuel.

I think my pH was low due to a large water change I did from my running nano which had low pH, because my bubble tip decided to commit suicide in the MP10.

I also run a reactor with PhosGuard in it.

This is just a man's opinion but I would leave the "fuel" alone. I would also cut the other dosing in half to see how it goes. Like I said it's not crazy alarming but could pose issues if you keep going. You don't really have anything in the tank right now that's using the "fuel".

Oh, and I added two fish 1 week apart, a Black Misbar clown and a Sixline Wrasse. Nothing else yet, but I do have 5 hermits, 2 turbos, 6 nassarius and a scarlet cleaner shrimp.
