um, i think it was about 150(+-) different fish that came in, plus all the inverts and corals that we got. It took me forever to put away all the emerald crabs, they were all packed individually. I don't know if thats a big shipment to you, but they said is was pretty big for them. All i know is i love love love my new job :D

    Astalie,

Endemic means basicly that species is only from that location. I used it loosely to mean endemic to the Carribean, Gulf and Keys :D It's not really a very accurate use of that word though.

We're in different arenas basicly. For retail, thats a good size shipment, I'm amazed some one packed each mithrax seperatly, no need, but wow :D You usually only do that for exports to EU and Asia. Mine come in hundred lots gang bagged in 1 or 2 bags (1 bag to a box).

    Mushroom_Man,

I can't post my prices, I never release wholesale pricing to the public, let alone post it on a forum :D It's against company policy (which I wrote :) ) and my personal business ethics. The average hobbyist wouldn't know what to do with what I pay for stuff. Freight is the largest cost of a fish over all, not the fish itself. Like I told Astalie, we're in different leagues. I'm a wholesaler supplying dozens of LFS around the country, public aquariums and other wholesalers. We export to EU and Asia as well. We also have our own collection station in Baja that has collected for/with us since the seventies, and a few other coming online in the next year or so. When we recieve shpments from Baja, I see aruond 10k fish, 1k starfish, several hundred zoa's, and countless other little inverts. Talk about unpacking/acclimation. Typically a 4 - 5 hour process.
