I'm lucky, I have two LFS that I can goto. Their alright, like everything else you have to make up your own mind on what to believe. Anyway, one of them told me that fuges and DSBs are nutrient sinks and should not be used at any cost. If you look at his setup, he's still using wet/dry's with bioballs. [smiley=laughy.gif] Even if your LFS is a bad one, you still need to go in there once in a while, you never know you might find something you just gotta have. [smiley=LolLolLolLol.gif]

    Yeah, like FISH! LOL...
It has been a pretty good store.....I like to spend my money at places that give good info......I will probably get most of my dry goods with our sponsors here at 3 Reef....they are always helpful here on the forum...

But live stuff (not really rocks or sand) but fish and corals....I am a little hesitant to order on line. I like to look at the animal and check it out real good.....

My fish store claims to not buy fish that are harvested by harmful practices....only net caught, and farm raised stuff...etc.

I will be making a fuge with Caluerpa (that is the fastest growing right?) Is there any algae recommended for in the display tank? - that is not a real pain....what is the general objection to that anyway....overgrowth?

thanks for all the great replies, BTW

Yeah with the display, it's overgrowth. Especially with caluerpa. My tank in college turned completely green with it.

I've had Halymenia growing in the main tank before and I thought it was really pretty and it didn't grow too fast.

Karla has a big Halimeda bush that she has to beat back with a stick!

Thanks for the links Matt! I love the look of macro algae in the main tank....but I didn't realize the roots could kill corals...

Gonna try to get to that this week....I am getting tired of looking at my empty tank ::)
