Is that "skimmer" used for medical grade stuff Steve?

    LOl

I am very fortunate to live very close to a very good LFS.

But we do have one place that has been around forever. About 5 years ago they upgraded their store to have kids parties held there to see the animals. I think they are more in that business than in selling quality critters at somewhat normal prices.

That place normally has frags of brown digitata for 25 dollars. LOL

There is a guy in boston selling mangroves for 5 each and they are just seeds also. The funny thing is people are buying some from him....... I just cant see how people can do that.

Unfortunately it all comes down to competition, my LFS does not have any real competition around so they do charge some high prices for corals but I usually wait until they have a shipment then they discount a lot of stuff. The bad thing is the closest competitor is like a 3 hour drive so they dominate this area.

When it comes to a situation like this I personally would shop online if my locals were going to do this to locals. I tell you what if enough people shopped elswehere then the prices would probally drop.

$15 per head of.... aiptasia! rock on!

$45 for a rock with 3 brown shrooms

snails anywhere other than reefcleaner! My LFS snail prices are insane. $4 for ceriths, 3.50 per nerite....

$250 and they'll come out and do a (one) water change for you (to their credit, there isn't a volume limit for that price).
