LFS..true or not?

    pretty good advice from the LFS, I think they wanted you to preserve the value of the live rock, that is why they mentioned the light. None of what they told you was "fact" you can keep a FOWLR without following any of their recommendations, but their recommendations are pretty fairly accepted as a "tried and true" way of keeping a system.

    can the light be added later to acheive coraliine. without jeapordizing the rock and to be able to add corals and things.

    If the coraline dies off, you'll have to reintroduce it into the system. You can do this by adding a small rock or rubble with some coraline in to your tank later on.

    thanks again slocal. i drained the tank and this weekend going to start over. My LFS is having a sale on everything so it will work out good as far as buying LR. pretty stoked now that i have a slight grasp on the prosedure.
