    Im confused on what atinic is when refered in reef lighting. I thought it meant blue but when I look at the Giesemann bulbs the Atinic+ says 40%atinic 60% blue.

    generally IMHO:

    actinics = 420nm (purple spectrum)

    blue = 460nm (blue spectrum)
