simple question. how do you all clean the top of your t5 fixtures. mine is quite dusty but i dont want to just wipe it off as alot of dust will fall into the water. i want to vacuum it off with the hose, but am concerned it will mess with the electronics of the light. ( in electronics class it was a big no no to clean dust with a vacuum hose)

damp paper towel is what I use the clean the top of the canopy

not dripping wet as you dont want water to run off and carry dust into the tank
but if its damp, dust will adhere to the paper towel and it will work with the fans also I am pretty confident

Remove the fixture and clean it out thoroughly. Fans should be cleaned to improve their performance.

+1 on removing the light. You have it turned off at some point anyway. Then ur sure there is no dust or dirty water going into ur tank.

i actually did drop this light in the tank once haha. it stopped working. i took it apart and put a blow dryer to it....and its been a great light for a year so far....and it is an odyssea 4x 54 w which people bash all the time but for the 100 it cost it is phenominal.
