Hello guys. Decided to go with a 4xT5HO fixture that I will be getting Saturday. I want to go ahead and get a few replacement bulbs for the fixture. The guy I am getting it from already has some extra bulbs and some in the fixture.

    Currently in the fixture:

    (2) ATI Aquablue Specials
    (2) 10k Premium bulbs (New bulbs but from before PFO closed)

    Extra bulbs:
    (2) Current USA 10k
    (2) Giesemann actinic
    (1) Current USA actinic
    (2) "blue" bulbs that are one of PFO's actinic versions

I am wanting to go ahead and buy two new bulbs to combine with any of the ones that I'll be receiving with the fixture. I really like the look of the ATI Purple Plus and Coral Plus, but want to ensure max growth of my coral (will be LPS and a few SPS).

With 2 of the bulbs I'll already have and buying 2 new bulbs, what would be a good combination to go with?

    Thanks!

I definitely want it to be a bit more blue than normal light fixtures usually are. Would it work to go with an Aquablue special, Blue Plus, Purple plus and throw a new 10k Current bulb in with those?

If you want a bluer hue, don't put in both the aquablue and the 10k. I would say ditch the aquablue all together. Great PAR from it, but it tends to wash the blue out.

ATI consider the Coral+ a standalone bulb, so I'm sure the PAR is up there with the Aquablue special.

Depending on if you want to use all new bulbs or mix them up, I would think you would like 2 x Coral+ and 2 x Blue+. Then you can always tweak the color by mixing in the 10k and actinic bulbs you already have.
