I'm just curious, why did you choose the in-tank lights instead of the conventional lights used for refugiums (considering the heat issue)? I turn my refugium lights off for 4 hours while my main lights remain on and all of my macro algae (cheato, graziella?, and mangroves) are doing great.

He has underwater lights because he is using the back of a bio cube for a refugium and doesn't want a 6500K bulb shinning all over his DT. Or atleast that is what I've gathered from the few other posts he has made about his chaeto attempt.

I did gather that the underwater lights were for space but I have no clue what color temperature they are and how powerful they are.
Is there any way to integrate other lights into there

i just said 6500k because thats around the K that chaeto can grow under being an inexpensive bulb. i have no idea if those under water bulbs are sufficient for chaeto.
