Light Fixture Brands

I have a 120g tank and I am looking to upgrade my single fixture to some reef lighting. I was looking at brands and I'm not sure what to go with. I feel that T5 HO's are the best bet due to the replacement costs of the bulbs. I like the 60'' 4 bulb fixture made by Aquatic Life as it offers a timer and LEDs and is relatively cheap (~$400). Is this a decent brand? Does anyone else have other suggestions?

 

What are the dimensions of the tank? Is it 60" long? That will limit your choices a little bit. I believe ATI and Tek make 60" fixtures too. I have a 4" long Tek on my tank and like it. ATI makes great fixtures and recently introduced a more economical fixture.

 

Also does anyone know if some of the other fixtures like the ATI Sunpower that is sixty inches also uses sixty inch bulbs?

 

Yes my tank is 60 inches. I know it's an awkward size but I like the way it looks and when I bought it I was stupider than I am now.

 

If the fixture is 60" long it uses 60" bulbs.

 

The aquatic life 60" fixture uses 48" bulbs or am I reading it wrong

I have the aquaticlife 72" 6 bulb (actually 12) light. i have only had it for about a month so it is too early to say but so far i like it. i did a lot of research before i bought it and the reviews seemed very positive.
