    Ok,

I have a issue that has came up since moving to the new tank. I seem to have light green Algae growing on my glass every 12 hours. I clean it and 12 hours it comes back.

I have tested my water and all seems fine fish are doing well and corals are doing just fine.

Anyone ever have this? My bulbs are less than a month old and they are UVl brand thier 454 number I dont run day light bulbs since I have found the corals I have dont need the spectrum and I like the blue look.

    TIA,

    Beamerhack

    The powdery stuff?

Use a mag-float if you're not already. I clean mine every other day, more or less.

I'm surprised you are only just now seeing this, honestly.

I've had this on my glass a lot. It's normal as far as I know. I even have some of the red algae on it as well. Maybe get more water flow?? I know that's what a lot of others have said about the algae on the glass. It helped on my tank.

I mag mine. I have green and a couple reddish patches. I'd say I have to clean every other day or so as well.

Yeah I barely started to get this after about 6 months of my tank.

I have a mag float and use it but I was just wondering if it is normal to see it within 12 hours agian.

swapped my tank over 10 days ago and have cleaned the front 3 times since then
so it seems pretty normal to me

if its the only algae you have, then your doing OK IMO
adding a Phophate remover to your filtration system, should reduce its growth and thus cut down on your glass cleaning work load
