light purple algae

    never seen before my freinds tank is starting to develope a real light purple algae . anyone have an answer... thanks

    Coralline algae. It's good.

    It comes in green, purple, red, and pinkish

    i've seen green, blue and red, but never purple (lavender). his ph was low around 7.4and the nitrates at 5.0-10ppm. other than that it's doing good. Thanks

    Is it hard like rock and doesn't scrape off? If so, it's good.
    I know I've seen purple pinkish hairy algae before. That might be bad.
