What do you guys recommend for a good lighting scale for me new AquaticLife fixture with Moon Lights. With my old fixture I was going from 11am-8pm and blued led's from 8pm-11pm. What should me new lighting schedule be?

What was your old lighting set up? If you went to a more bulbs, more powerful overall system you may want to scale back and start with a shorter cycle to let everything get used to the new lights.

Opinions will vary from person to person but overall youll have to kinda of feel it out with your system to see what gives you the best growth & preferably less algae.

Same with the moonlights. My tank seemed to get better response from not having an all night moonlight. I let me go for about 2-3 hours after lights out, then dark, with the natural daylight that enters the room ramp up into my lighting kicking on for the day.

I did the same as above when I was tweaking my light schedule. I don't have anything that can control my daytime lights, dawn/dusk lights and my moonlights. I have my daytimes and moonlights on a timer and let the morning light act as my dawn kicker.

I have another question, how high should the light be from the water line? It is a standard 75 gallon, 20" high, and I am using a 4 bulb 54w T5 fixture. Its going to be a mixed reef tank.

I would suggest 10" to 12" to prevent light inhibition of your softies and 'shrooms.
