My lighting system came today! Its a T-5 HO with 2 10000 k bulbs, 2 450 nm bulbs and an LED moon strip. I was wondering how long you keep your moon lights on for at night and how many days a week you use the moons lights.

    Thanks :)

Congrats on the fixture! The moons are more for "us" than "them" really, so you can use them as you please. I use to run mine after my main bulbs went off from 10pm-3am. I feel it's best to give them some "dark" time also.

Down the line if you swap your main bulbs from some ATI's or Geissmans you'll get a lot more out of your fixture.

Ya, I'm going to switch them out down the road :)

Thank you! I like your light cycling. I might have to do that :)

SO I got my new lights hooked up and I'm not big on swearing but the only thing that came to mind when I powered it up over my aquarium was HOLY S**T. It looks...so... different

Yea, i think that goes with everyone! If you look at the bottom of the box it says "Cusing is included once system is installed." haha ::) Well, at least what mine said!

Congrats on the new fixture. If you have corals you will want to acclimate them to the new light. You will want to cut back on the photo period them slowly build it back up 1 hour a week.
