lighting a 2.5 gallon reef tank help???

    i currently have 2 20 watt pc 50/50 bulbs lieng around lighting the tank....i was thinking of getting a led fixture for it

    but what fixture or light source is best

    maybe you could just go with t 5s and save the money from an led system. Or at least the systems I am thinking of (solaris) do you have any pics. I really like the smaller systems

    yeah i saw a led light fixture at marine depot for 60 dollars just wondering if it was worth the money i have on another tank setup. plus, i have pc and i got the shimmer effect right know

    I.M.O you do not need a skimmer for such a small tank because they barely do anything, if anything at all. And 40 watts over that small of a tank is very good

    if you really wanna go led check these out
    Nanotuners.com
    only downside is leds dont have very good spread, you might have to mount it a foot or so above your tank

    with the 40 watts (pc light)on the tank i got the shimmer effect.
