I'm having to put my 90 gallon on hold awhile. My lovely wife is wanting to setup a smaller tank till we can find a more stable place to live. We have decided to go with a Mr. Aqua cube 25 gallons. I want a led fixture due to not having to spend money on bulbs down the road. There are so many to choose from. I have looked at the AI nano sol and the Ecoxotic PAR38 lamps. What do you guys and gals think? I love the fact that you can dim the nano sol and add a controller to it. I dunno tho the extra money I save with the PAR38 would be nice for corals later.... Its a hard hobby sometimes. Oh yea what also was wondering the growth between the two lights. Also, if i go with par38 I will get 2 of them.

dont do the par38, youll need a few of them and then the light in the tank will look scattered and unprofessional. i would suggest the ai nano definitely. par38's just arent really made for lighting large tanks, i have lit larger tanks with them but realy a larger led fixture looks so much better.

Thanks for the input! I will be lighting a 25 gallon cube. I was really wanting the nano sol. It looks like a solid fixture. Lets just hope my budget (wife) will let me get it lol

This is simple. You march in there, you tell her you wear the pants in this relationship. You tell her you're in charge and she had better let you do it. Give her the "your way or the highway" lectu...

On second though, do what I do. Beg. Maybe cry a little.
