    Hey guys.

A friend at work is setting up a new tank, its a 65 gallons (36" wide, 18" deep and 24" tall). What would be the best lighting? MH of coarse but 175W or 250W, 1 or 2 bulbs, actinic, some PC to complete... Im just not sure :-/.

    Thanks
    Marc.

That is the exact same tank I have. I have two 175W 10,000 MH and two 95W VHO. I have it hanging 14” above the tank. I am in the process of designing a cover so I can have the light 8” above the tank. Most people recommend 250W MH or higher for a tank this deep, I personally have had no problems with my corals. I would love to add two 95W PC but that will have to wait for $$$. Also it depends on what you are adding. I would research your coral selection and post it before we can give you a good answer.
