I have 4 Mean well ELN-60-48P drivers and plan to use a typhoon controller to do the dimming and so on.

Here is my question, I can run 14 3w cree leds from one driver but will 56 3w leds be enough to keep SPS on the bottom of a 75?

Ive been thinking of going with 6 drivers for 84 3w leds for a total of 252 watts of led power :)

Ive never really minded the 50/50 blue/white look and can dim the whites down if needed so I think I am going to end up going with an even amount of blues/whites.

So again my question is will 56 3w leds be enough to keep just about any SPS anywhere within a 75g

tbh I think it would be too much light for a 75g. I am running 72w bridgelux for a 60g. and I am running SPS donmi tank. However, if u do run it like that, you can always turn your light down to about 20% to start with and maybe move up the intnesity slowly. I wouldn't go 100% tho. just my 2c

are your sps growing or polyps extended much though because 72w bridgelux on a 60 is not that much light..especially not much for acro etc

well all my acros are fine ad my rainbow monti has bee growing like nuts, I actually drop from 144w to 72 cuz I feel the 144 is way too bright
hving a 250w cree on a 75 is just like have a 400w MH on a 75g, if you 75g is less than 24 inch tank then I would say it is too much. Again it is just personal pref, like I said I am fine using my current set up. There is someone baught my 144w cuz he said my 72w LED was way too dark for his 34g LPS tank. lol

you think the 56 3w or the 84 3w would be to much?

are you running 24 3w? I would really like to use the 4 drivers I have now and not have to get 2 more.

With using what I have now that would give me 84w per side of the center brace, I also plan to use 60 degree optics. I am pretty new to the led thing but have played with a few, I had started with some GU10 leds and then decided to go with these drivers.

Also how far apart should I place my leds so that I have a even spread with out any spot lighting?

I know with the GU10 leds they had to be pretty close or pretty high but I think they had 30 degree optics.

    Thanks For the help also.
