How long can you wait on a decision. I just got wind of a new LED fixture that should be controllable, great looking, powerful, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately there is a deal in the works but I can say that it is so new, not even the bloggers have dropped this bomb!

All I can say is that they are made by and existing aquarium LED manufacturer but it is an all new product for them. Designed new from the ground up, controllable and expandable. That is all I can discuss but I'm sure you will soon hear about them in full detail. I am usually able to get this kind of info around the same time the bloggers get it but as of yet there is nothing on google about it.

Have you thought about hanging a few par38? or maybe par30's? I think it would be the cheaper route.

I have no idea when they will be available. They must be really close to production though because I was also sent the pdf of the entire instruction booklet along with a lot of high resolution photos. Shoot me your email and once the product has been released, I'll send the info. It most likely will not work on your timeframe. Nothing new in this hobby does.
