Here is a page on basic lighting that I've had bookmarked for a while now. For those of you who've been in the hobby for some time, you have probably read this article before. So, I'll post it for the newbies who are trying to make sense of the lingo and jargon. Sorry mods if this page is a sticky or popular thread already.

Sweet guide. Anyone wanna elaborate on the cons of the t5 lights. It was kinda confusing the way it was stated.

I haven't found any yet. I have had them for a year and half.

Don't buy cheap crap was basically the message.

There are some good quality T5 fixtures that are far better than some entry level units.

I won't mention any bad, but ATI and TEK are two of the best.
