    does anyone know what brand controller has the lightining effect? and what kind of lights are required for it? i have heard of these but dont remember where or what kind. they just seem really cool.

    I think you need LED lighting for that. Don't remember the brand.

    CREE LEDs are dimmable. Boost LEDs are not.

    does anybody know if the controller is a reef angel or something else?

    Profilux is the only controller, that I know of, that has a built in lightning program that I know of. It does require the use of their light bars however. I am sure a custom LED setup could be wired to match their light bar for power.

    sounds like more trouble than its worth but i bet it looks really cool though.
