    @cerpin_taxt - The 70w halides run pretty cool. I have it close to the glass and my tank is running between 75 - 79 right now with a lid. I had a 150w pendant on it last year and I did have to run a chiller - an iceprobe with controller - during the summer. I might have to bust that out again this summer but I thought I would try it without the lid first and see.



    @Morejongg - I was thinking you were talking about this Sunpod light. When I was digging around for 30" halide fixtures it kept coming up. I didn't like the idea of leds instead of PC or T5s.

    Do you have a link to that Sunlight tech light you are looking at?

    i see. only halide and LED no supplemental lighting.... neways i went with the current USA 2X65 watt PC never thoght my tank looked better. not keeping any SPS yet. would like to upgrade lights eventually though.

    I had a Odyessa 2x65 PC on my 20 long for about a month while I waited for the halide to come... it was fine for my lps but my acros were not growing much, although they held on with supplemental food (rotifers.)
