One of the main issues with tabling acros be them tabling millies or hyacinth is really good water flow... If you kept the piece in the top third with that fixture you would be fine... Heck you could probably go top half but with tabling pieces higher is better for their growth pattern. The Sundial does have mock SLRs and is actively cooled but the SLRs don't use the same quality Al as say a Tek or TX5 would... Also the stock Current lamps are pretty poor so I would strongly urge swapping them out as soon as possible...

Yeah was planning on going Gmann for the bulbs and I don't think flow is a prob. Have a 350magnum canister, 2x Koralia 1s and my always trusty aquac remora. Pushing about 48x per hour. I would rellay love to go with a TX5 but alas, college student going for their biotech degree...really not comfortable spending that much on a light especially since Current USA is pulling their MHs, possibly going LED or more T5?

Thats a fair amount of flow but Koralia 1s are pretty weak... I would see if you can either trade them to a local reefer and upgrade to a 2 or 3 or add a 3 and really get that tank rocking.

A Tek is not as expensive as a Tx5, and are nice units....
Also in regards to SPS what are your parameters?

Just did tests. pH is a littlw low at 8.0. Also my calcium is about 345 so I know I have to bring that up. I don't know about my Mg as I don't have a test kit for that right now but other than that 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and 0-4, 5ish nitrate. Also I must admit that I hadn't been keeping up on water changes all that well since I wasn't trying to keep my Ca and other levels up. So rest assured before I ever get a coral I will be getting these numbers up and know what's going on, seen other peoples' mistakes and am trying to not make them. At this point in time I was just trying to see what I could do with T5s.
