lighting for a 12 gallon aqua pod

    i just purchased a 12 gallon aquapod from the lfs but it dosnt have the light hood. anyone know if i can purchase the light hood by itself and where. or does anyone know of a good light that i can put on the tank it is 16" wide. thanks

    Does anyone think that a 18" current 2x20 watt t-5 light be sufficent enough for the tank to keep sps. The tank is 13" deep

    You could probably keep SPS high in the tank, unfortunately AFAIK current USA is the only company that makes 20w T5 bulbs so you would be very limited on the type of bulbs you could use and the current bulbs are not very good. If you do go with that fixture I would start out with one of the easier SPS like a monitpora digitata to test it out.
