Lighting for a 125gal tank

    that way of judging light output is outdated. also it all depends on how deep his tank is. if its more than 25 inches deep i would do halides or led's. you can grow anything under t5's just the catch is is it takes alot of bulbs. i agree a twelve bulb fixture would be the best way to go. but if your gonna spend that much you might as well buy led or halide. its completely up to you

    then a t5 fixture will work fine

    Thank you all very much. Now to find 800.00 for the light and 300.00 for a skimmer man I should have got my ant farm going instead.
