So guys I am in a debockle....I have a 90 gallon tank right now with a 6x54w Tek fixture on it...I also have a fixture I picked up a couple week ago 2X250 hamilton fixture just sitting around!!! What what you put on your 150? I was going to sell my T5's and but 3x250 metal halides on there??? Questions--
-how much difference in cost would it be to run Mh vs. T5's
-I can get icecap Ballasts cheap 50 bucks...I can retro fit a sick T5 setup in my canopy...?
-I wouldnt get the shimmer that Mh have???
What would you guys do?????and I am really worried about the cost difference???in anyone can give me some numbers

Well, I have three questions for you...

    Is it a 150 Tall?
Does it have a center brace or two of them?
What type of corals are you wanting to keep?

OK, at 28" tall, t5s will have a hard time reaching the bottom. Would need alot of bulbs to keep sps at the bottom.

I am going with 4 MHs on my 150 with t5 supplements.

As long as you don't put the MHs over any of your braces, I would use them.
