I just bought a 55 gallon tank 36"x18"x20". I not sure about what light to buy. I don't want to be limited in the future on what I can have in the tank. I am looking at the Outer Orbit Pro Series 36" with 2-150 watt metal halide's and 4-39 watt t-5 ho's. Would this be enough lighting?

Yeah that is a good amount of light, what are your goals for the tank?

They make alot of nice t-5 only fixtures for the size tank you have. They will run really cool so you want have heat problems like with MH, and they are just a bright. Plus you will save alot of money getting t-5!!, in fixture cost, and electic bill.
