I have a 29g to use as my QT/HT. I will QT coral & fish in here & was wondering what bulbs to get so the corals will be alright until put in the DT.

Currently I just have the 1 t8 bulb that came with it. Can I take those out & just add 1 t5? I am assuming this won't be enough light...What fixture & lighting spectrum(as far as bulb types(color, wattage,K's) would you recommend? (corals are for a mixed reef)

Trying to keep this low cost, as it is a small part compared to the build itself. I was thinking a 2 bulb T5 fixture maybe? The DT will have a 150w MH pendant.

When I QT my fish purchases...I don't use a light...there is sufficient ambient light in the area for them to experience day/night cycles...

Since I don't QT my corals (not the best practice) I'll leave that for others to comment...

    What's wrong with quarantining corals?
