I have a T5 system and love it. I'm trying to convert to english units from metric (in my head). Ummm... About a cubic meter and only 600mm high? That's not very deep so you shouldn't have any problems with whatever lighting solution you choose.

If you are thinking of going with T5s try to buy one that has individual reflectors rather than one large reflector. You will save some money on bulbs because T5s outlast Mhs by quite a lot. Since you have a Mh light now you dont have to be in a hurry to change over so I would save up and possible check Ebay for a used one. They show up there fairly often. Another site that has a large amount of items for sale board is reefcentral.com
