I am building a new canopy and upgrading lights for my 40Ga. It's about 18 inches deep I believe. How does this setup look in my situation? In the future I plan on getting some SPS and/or clams but for now because of money I am just getting the simple corals. I don't want to upgrade later obviously so if this will work, excellent! If not then how much higher should I go? Any thoughts?

that would be good. but i would ditch the actinic bulbs it comes with and get ati blue plus to replace them. they are still blue but have much more useable light.

I agree with skier but would replace the 10000K bulbs also but would buy 1 ATI aquablue special and 1 UVL actinic white. This will make your corals colors pop and havve a much greater PAR. Current's T5 lights are pretty weak.
