lighting for reef tank

    i think most people will say no, most use T5s or MH for best results, what size tank do you have, mine is a 72 bow and i have Currents nova extream pro 6x54watts.....

    Depends on what size. But personally, I wouldn't go with PC's. If your going to spend money on lights, go with T5's or MH's, that way you won't be limiting yourself so much on what corals you can and can't keep.

    im getting a 54 gallon corner bow front.. what do u think is neccesary to have a sick reef. please advise. also what filters and skimmers would be good for this tank..

    Well what are you planning on keeping? If you want to go with something with limitless choices, your going to need at least MH, and possibly a T5/MH combo. But the thing to remember is that if you go overboard with the MH's, your going to need a chiller. For just about anything lighting, I would go with a 250W 1400K MH with supplemental T5 actinic's :D
