I was at the LFS and ended up purchasing the SunReef 50/50 bulb for my 29 gallon FOWLR tank...

Question is: Any opinions on this bulb... is it sufficient... is it even necessary considering my tank is going to be FOWLR??

First, let me chide you a bit. Why would you purchase anything not knowing what it is or does or if it is even needed? O.k. I got that out of the way. The bulb is fine, enjoy your hobby.

It should be fine and bring out colors of anything in your tank.

Haha Unclejed: I had done some research and felt although the light wasn't entirely necessary (considering I'm not going to have coral) it may still be beneficial to the fish / live rock...

Also, I like to get 3reefs seal of approval on everything I am doing... (admittedly this time I acted first and asked latter)

O.k. we're cool, I was just going off your post. Let us know how the new bulb looks, if you see a difference.
