lighting in a fish only tank

    Hi, it is not an emergency but i could not open the hardware forum.can i get away with having 2x48" T8 200lumines lights that I purchased at the home depot? I have a fish only tank (55 gallon, aout 30lbs lr, 30lbs ls, 2 scooter blennies, 20gallon refugium with caulerpa and ls)thanks

    You could have regular no-frills fluorescents and be just fine.

    Pretty much any light would work

    Lighting on a fish only tank is pretty much just so you can see the fish. Don't use a plant bulb though or it could cause algae.
