I would make your own led light... It's not that hard and well worth it...I bought my Heatsink at rapidled as well as My drivers, fans, lenses and some LEDs... Deal extreme has some cheaper prices on LEDs... But rapidled ships fast and has everything you need....google diy led builds and look at different lights that's how I came up with my idea... I have 24 3w xre's over my 25gal and they are growing sps just fine...

Im curious to try halide lighting just because I havent before. But the LED builds are very interesting and get great bang for your buck. The main reason Im considering halides is because they are tried and tested. They have been producing results for years. Im using LEDs over my frag tank and many different colors seem pretty bland. Im curious to see how the halide will compare.

I'm not sure about this brand.

Edit: Disregard that. ^ Forgot that was part of the company, Hamilton. ::)

Anyway, the that shape reflector will likely give you the best coverage for a metal halide.

I figured it would do well for this tank. If Im not happy with it I can always use it over the frag system. I wanted a quality brand light so I figured Id go with Hamilton. You never hear anything but good from them.
