Any comments or opinions on a Odyssea 130W compact lighting system?

Well from what I hear is you get what you pay for. These are the new version of the Jebo lights. They are made cheaply but they do what they are made to do. You may want to consider purchasing better bulbs as I'm not sure of their quality. If you are a reefer on a budget and don't mind cheaply made lights they may be for you.

Funny I just did an impulse buy and picked this fixture up at my LFS for $90 on sale!

    Impressions:
    + Fixture itself is decent.
    + Fans are pretty quiet.
    - glass lens is actually thin plastic!
    - One cord is slick, but limits dawn/dusk option to nill and I also realized I can't turn on the moonlight at night due to the timer I put on the cord for the main lights.

I was going to post a review but I can't find even a picture on Google except for some eBay ads.

i got a Aquarium Metal Halide Light Jebo 36 inches with 305 watts on ebay for 250. I have had it for about 3 months. I havent had any problems. It just sucks a cant set the moon lights on a timer.. makes a little noise the first 10 min when it starts but it goes away after a while.

The other big problem i have is that my 46 gallon bow front tank has a brace running down the very top middle of the tank. Right above the brace is my lights with the metal helide right in the middle so there is a big shadow down the bottom middle of the tank. Does any one know what would happen to the tank if i cut the brace off?? Or is there something i can buy or do?? I dont want to get new lights or tank.

Odyssea, Jebo or what ever there going be this week. Be Careful! A guy in my local club almost had a odyssea MH rig burn down his house.
Fires a side the bulbs are usally junk. Most of there onwer end up replacing the bulb pretty quickily and most are farely happy at that point. Good luck guys

    Here is the website Matt.
    http://www.aquatraders.com/
After owning an Aqua-C and dealing with good customer service is it a little odd that Odyssea doesn't even have a website...
