    Not to thread jack but what is a very good light for the money under 800 dollars for say a 4ft'r?

    What you are sacrificing is quality. Basically that is it. And take into account that the TEK 6x54W from reefgeek comes with high quality bulbs (your choice of ATI, Giesemann or UVL). When all is said and done, the quality of bulbs is just as (or more important than) the fixture itself. If you compare the prices of the TEK with bulbs and the cheaper alternatives (then exchanging the bulbs out for good ones), the price is a wash.

    I would run a minimum of 6x54W over your 80. I am about to get an 8x54W TEK for my 90g just for comparison......
