I was wondering what everyones lighting schedule is? We usually have our lights (96w 10000k and a 96w actinic PC) on from 10(ish) am till 10pm (we don't have a timer....yet) and I usually just turn both lamps on (the 10000k and the actinic) at the same time.. is this bad, should i do it differently? advice please!

I have my actinics come on at 11 and my whites come on at 12. The whites then go off at 7 and my actinics off at 8. Their is and hour difference between the two spectrums and a total light time of 8 hours.

Hope this helps. I am sure others will chime in as well.

Just wondering if there is a reason why you only have actinics on by themselves for the extra time?

I like to simulate a morning and a night. May just be a personal prefference, but I like it.

Also, I like to think that my corals aren't getting a whole buch of light at once.

I do the same thing, except my whites go off at 8 and my actinics at 9.

Since you show no coral in your signature, it makes no difference what so ever.
