I just traded my 46 bowfront for a 60 Gal corner tank!

I plan on going MH but I am not sure what wattage and all that and if I want to hang pendants etc.

I want to be able to grow anything I desire. My budget is $550 at the most

What are the dimensions of the corner aquarium? And since you want MH I assume you are probably going to keep SPS and clams right?

My 36" Aquaticlife T5HO light (from my old 46 bow) fits across the open area. the tank has a T shaped brace on top and is approx 48" all the way across. I can either suspend it, or replace the T bar with glass and put a MH w/t5 fixture on it.

I do want to keep SPS and Clams

Well Since it is a different shape I feel like pendants might be easier for you. Also because of the height of the tank I would go for 2 X 250w MH. You can always rise them up if you think it is to much. It is always better to have to much than too little though. I'm Picking up a fixture for my 75 gallon on friday which will be 2 X 250 MH and my height is only 21". And depending on the bulb you pick you wont need t5s for actinics or anything. I am getting the Phoenix 14K which have a slight blue hue to them and still lots of PAR.

Actually, a lot of the bluer MH bulbs have more PUR than some of the warmer color temperatures. It's all in the spectrograph! :) My fav MH bulbs are the phoenix 14ks and the Hamilton 14ks, FWIW.
